New Here?
Welcome to St. Gabriel!
We are so glad you are exploring our community. You are welcome here wherever you are on your spiritual journey. We believe Jesus is relevant to everyone and that following Jesus will change the world. There are lots of ways to find community here at St. Gabriel.
Step 1: Visit
The best way to get to know us is to visit a worship service and then stay around for some coffee and conversation afterward.
We have two Sunday services. From September through May we meet at 8:00am and at 10:15am. The 10:15 service is live-streamed here. In the summertime, our morning service moves to 9:00am (live-streamed), while a quietly contemporary service we call The Gathering meets at 5:00pm.
If you have kids ages four through fifth grade, at the 10:15 service they can follow the kid’s banner out to Godly Play, our imaginative Bible story time. Our teachers accompany the children back to the service prior to Communion. Middle and High schoolers gather once a month from 10am-12pm in the youth room downstairs.
Step 2: Say Hi!
When you decide you’d like to find out more about St. Gabriel’s community, you can fill out a Connection Card. You’ll begin receiving the Trumpet (our weekly newsletter) and you will also be invited to a Newcomer Mixer, which we host two or three times a year.
Step 3: Connect
A great way to meet people is to find a group or an activity to try. We have several ongoing bible study groups, and offer adult faith formation in between the 8am and 10:15am services. We also run an Alpha Course about twice a year. Our walking group, solo angels, and supper circles are easy-going places to meet people. Upcoming gatherings and contact information can be found in The Trumpet.
-
Alpha is an 11-week course that creates a relaxed space for honest and open conversation regarding some of life’s biggest questions like “Who is Jesus?”, “Why and how do I pray?”, and “How does God guide us?”
-
Once a month on Fridays or Saturdays folks are invited to walk together for about an hour at nearby parks and trails. Friends, including the 4-legged kind are always welcome!
-
Folks who are single or single again gather for lunch once a month at local restaurants for camaraderie and cuisine.
-
Supper circles gather for meals in homes once a month. Sign up for four-months-at-a-time as your calendar permits and make new friends.
Step 4: Be a Member
You are a member of God’s church and of St. Gabriel’s if you have been baptized. To be officially enrolled at St. Gabriel’s, bring by a copy of your baptismal certificate or a letter from the community where you were baptized. If you were baptized in an Episcopal church, you can ask that church to transfer a record of your baptism to St. Gabriel. To chat about being baptized at St. Gabriel, please email Fr. Chris.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
You are welcome as you are. Some folks at St. Gabriel put on their Sunday best – while others wear whatever strikes them for the moment. It is Colorado after all! So come in whatever makes you feel most comfortable, whether that is jeans and a t-shirt or a suit and tie.
-
After you park, enter the worship space through the doors on the west side of the building. Once inside, our ushers will greet you, answer any questions, and offer you a service leaflet that will help you follow the rhythm of the service. Please participate in our worship in any way that feels life-giving to you!
-
Every service features biblically based, relevant preaching and Holy Communion. Whichever Sunday service you choose to attend, you will hear the same sermon. Read more about our worship; our beliefs and values; and view past services and sermons.
-
All baptized believers in Jesus are invited to receive Communion and we hope you will join us. You may receive both the bread and wine, or either one. If you would prefer to receive a blessing rather than the communion elements, simply come to the altar rail and cross your arms over your chest. Again, to chat about baptism please contact Fr. Chris and he is happy to begin that discussion.
-
We value your presence, and though we pass an offering plate, no one is obligated or expected to contribute.
-
Our building and most restrooms are wheelchair accessible. Wheelchairs and walkers will fit at the end of the pews. Ushers are available to provide assistance.

You can reach our parish administrator at 303.771.1063 in the church office from 8am to 4pm Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays; on Tuesdays 9am to 3pm and Fridays 8am to noon.
